Palak Tiwari made her acting debut in the Salman Khan film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Before that the actor worked behind the camera as an assistant director in Antim: The Final Truth.

It was Salman who recommended Palak that she first see how a film is made and what happens on set, before she steps infront of the camera

What Salman told Palak

On the latest episode of The Bombay Journey by Mashable India, Palak Tiwari shared how Salman Khan has been a guiding figure in her career from the very beginning.

She recalled meeting him at a Bigg Boss reunion, where he noticed how much she had grown and asked her, “Have you thought about doing something in life?” At the time, Palak was around 17 or 18 and told him she wanted to become an actor.

Salman then advised her to first understand the work that goes on behind the camera, emphasizing the importance of learning the craft fully. Calling him “such a cool guy,” Palak added that his advice made her realize how easy it is for actors to take things for granted.

On getting star-struck

Palak Tiwari also shared that she still gets star-struck around Salman Khan, despite having done an entire film with him. She admitted, “Even now, whenever I see him or even get a message from him, I get star-struck. Normally, I don’t feel that way—you could seat anyone in front of me and I’d be fine.

But with him, I start stammering and go completely silent. He’s really had that kind of impact on me.” She added that Salman once told her, “Aaram se bolo” (speak without hesitation), which helped her feel more at ease.
