Hero MotoCorp has shared a teaser of its new electric scooter – the Vida VX2. This new scooter is designed for family use and will be launched in India on July 1, 2025. The Vida VX2 will be the most budget-friendly electric scooter in the Vida range.
Design Details of Vida VX2
This scooter was seen in spy photos in early June 2025. Now, a teaser gives us a clear look. The design is simple and made for daily family use.
Key design changes include:
- A small TFT digital display
- Physical key slot instead of keyless start
- Flat, one-piece seat for more comfort
- New switch controls on the handle

Features and Performance
Though the outside design is new, inside parts may stay the same as the older Vida V2 scooter. That includes:
- Same battery and motor
- Same frame (chassis)
- Same electronics
Price Expectation: Cheaper Than Vida V2
The current Vida V2 electric scooters are priced between ₹74,000 to ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Vida VX2 is expected to start at a lower price point, possibly around ₹65,000 – ₹70,000, making it the cheapest electric scooter from Hero MotoCorp.
Because of this pricing, the VX2 will compete with popular entry-level EV scooters like:
- TVS iQube
- Ola S1X
- Bajaj Chetak Urbane
If priced correctly, Hero could attract budget-conscious families and daily commuters who want to switch from petrol scooters to electric ones.
Vida Brand Gaining Popularity
Hero launched the Vida brand in 2022 and introduced the first V1 model, followed by the improved V2. Though the start was slow, the Vida scooters are now getting good attention in the electric vehicle market.

Each month, the sales numbers are improving, and Hero is working to expand Vida dealerships and service points across India. The launch of VX2 will give the brand a strong push in the affordable EV market.
This helps Hero keep the cost low and use existing parts more efficiently. There may also be multiple battery options and variants to suit different needs.
Hero’s Vida electric range is slowly becoming popular, and sales are increasing every month.
