Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 Auction brought big surprises. The highest bid went to Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, an Iranian all-rounder, who was bought by Gujarat Giants for ₹2.23 crore. This was the biggest news of the day. Teams like Patna Pirates, Bengaluru Bulls, and Telugu Titans also bid for him, but Gujarat won the battle.
Another big update was about Pawan Sehrawat, one of PKL’s most famous players. In the 2023 auction, Telugu Titans bought him for ₹2.60 crore, making him the most expensive player in PKL history. But in 2025, not many teams showed interest in him.
Only Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriors started bidding. Later, Tamil Thalaivas joined and bought him for just ₹59.5 lakh. This was shocking for many fans, as his price dropped a lot.
Other Big Buys in the PKL Auction
- Bharat, who earlier played with Pawan Sehrawat, was bought by Telugu Titans for ₹81 lakh.
- Vijay Malik went to Bengal Warriors for ₹51.5 lakh. However, Telugu Titans used their FBM card (Final Bid Match) to bring him back.
- FBM card helps a team bring back their released player by matching the final bid.
After that, Telugu Titans also added Shubham Shinde to their team.
Bengaluru Bulls picked Ankush for ₹30 lakh.
Pawan Sehrawat’s Record Still Safe
Ashu Malik, who played for Dabang Delhi, was bought by Bengal Warriors for ₹1.90 crore. But Delhi used their FBM card and brought him back into their squad.
Arjun Deshwal, the star raider from Jaipur Pink Panthers, was picked by Tamil Thalaivas for ₹1.4 crore.
Still, no one could break Pawan Sehrawat’s record of ₹2.60 crore from the 2023 auction. He remains the most expensive player in PKL history.
