Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new, fourth-generation Dzire in India. The introductory prices range from ₹6.79 lakh for the base LXi variant, going up to ₹10.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec ZXi+ model. It is available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+, with the VXi and ZXi trims also offering a CNG option. Additionally, the new Dzire can be acquired through Maruti’s subscription plan, starting at an EMI of ₹18,248.

New Maruti Dzire: Price List (Ex-Showroom)

The Dzire continues to compete with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze. Notably, the Amaze is set to receive a generational update soon. The new Dzire features a distinct design identity and a host of new features compared to the Swift hatchback.

Design and Dimensions

The new Maruti Dzire stands 3,995mm long, 1,735mm wide, and 1,525mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm and ground clearance of 163mm. It retains the same dimensions as the previous generation, apart from a 10mm increase in height. The exterior design has been significantly revamped, featuring a flat hood, sharp Audi-like “Crystal Vision” headlamps, and a bold hexagonal grille. The sides display more sculpted surfaces, while the top-spec variants come with diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, there are stylish 3D Trinity LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Dzire boasts a more luxurious and colorful cabin compared to the Swift. The beige upholstery complements the dark brown dashboard accents, faux wood inserts, and silver trims. The centerpiece is a 9-inch Smartplay Pro Plus infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connected car features. Higher trims also offer new amenities, including a factory-fitted sunroof, cruise control, rear AC vents, a rear armrest, and a 360-degree camera.

Engine and Specifications

The Dzire is powered by the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine from the Swift, generating 82hp and 112Nm of torque. It features a fuel-saving idle start/stop system. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The CNG variant delivers 69.75hp and 101.8Nm of torque.

Safety Ratings and Features

Maruti has achieved a milestone with the new Dzire, securing a 5-star rating in adult occupant protection and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection from Global NCAP. Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Availability for Fleet Buyers

While the new fourth-gen Dzire is aimed at private buyers, the older third-gen Dzire will continue to be sold as the Dzire Tour for fleet operators.
