May 29, 2025 in Mullanpur — Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) made big history today! After 9 long years, they finally reached the IPL 2025 Final by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) with 8 wickets in the Qualifier 1 match at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.

RCB’s Big Win in Just 10 Overs
Punjab Kings batted first and gave a small target of 102 runs. RCB chased it down quickly in just 10 overs, with great batting from Phil Salt, who scored 56 runs in just 27 balls. He smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes!

RCB lost their first wicket early. Star player King Kohli scored just 12 runs before getting out. But then, Salt and Mayank Agarwal made a good 54-run partnership, putting RCB in full control. After Mayank got out for 19 runs, Rajat Patidar joined Salt and helped finish the match.
RCB in the Finals After 9 Years
This is Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) 4th time in an IPL final. Earlier, they played in 2009, 2011, and 2016, but lost each time. Now, in 2025, they are back again and looking for their first title win!
RCB will play the final match on June 3rd in Ahmedabad against the winner of Qualifier 2.

PBKS still has a chance. They will play Qualifier 2 on June 1st in Ahmedabad. Their opponent will be the winner of the Eliminator match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT), which is on May 30th.
