According to the Health Ministry, the number of active COVID-19 cases in India has crossed 3,000. So far, 4 people have died in Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, and Uttar Pradesh.
As per the latest data, India has 3,395 active COVID-19 cases. Kerala has the highest number of cases at 1,336, followed by Maharashtra with 467 cases. Delhi has 375 cases, and Gujarat has 265 active cases.

Other states like West Bengal have 205 cases, Tamil Nadu has 185, and Uttar Pradesh has 117 active cases. So far, 1,435 patients have recovered and been discharged.

Officials said most cases are mild and there is no need to panic. Enough testing and treatment facilities are available in the states.
Key Updates:
- Kerala reported 189 new cases in 24 hours, now totaling 1,336 active cases.
- Delhi reported its first COVID-19 death – a 60-year-old woman. The virus was found after her surgery.
- Karnataka’s health department asked people to stay calm and alert, and to follow health guidelines.
- In Odisha, two new cases were reported. Total cases there are now 7, and all are stable.
- In Patna, Bihar, 7 new cases were found, including one medical intern. All have mild symptoms.
- Maharashtra health officials have advised hospitals to be ready with ICU beds, oxygen, and resources. People are also advised to wear masks, maintain distance, and wash hands often.

Rise in Cases:
India is seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases. On 22nd May, there were only 257 active cases. By 26th May, the number went up to 1,010, and today it has reached 3,395. In the past 24 hours, 685 new cases and 4 deaths have been reported in India.
