England has announced its team for the first Test match against India. The match will start on 20 June 2025 in Leeds.
In this England team, two new players are added:
- Josh Tongue – a medium-fast bowler
- Sam Cook – a fast bowler who uses his right hand
Chris Woakes is also back in the team after some time.
These players—Tongue and Cook—recently played a four-day match against Zimbabwe. They also will play in a practice match against India A before the Test.
Another player, Jamie Overton, is also back. He can bowl fast and also bat well. He was not in the team since 2022. Now, he is returning again.
