VinFast is a famous electric car company from Vietnam. Now, it is coming to India. The company has officially confirmed that it will launch two electric cars, VF7 and VF6, in India.
They showed these cars at the India Mobility Expo 2025. Bookings for both cars will start in June 2025.
VinFast Factory in Tamil Nadu – 50,000 Cars Every Year
VinFast is also building a big car factory in Tamil Nadu. It will start working in the next few weeks. The factory will make 50,000 cars per year in the beginning. The VF6 and VF7 will be made here for the Indian market.

VinFast VF7 – A Premium Electric SUV
The VF7 is a mid-size premium electric SUV. It is big and stylish. It has V-shape LED lights, split headlights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It looks like a modern coupe from the back.
There will be two versions:
- VF7 Plus (Single Motor): 201 bhp power, 310 Nm torque
- VF7 Plus AWD (Dual Motor): 343 bhp power, 500 Nm torque
Both versions will have a 75.3 kWh battery. It will give a range of 450 km (WLTP). Features include leatherette seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS technology.
VinFast VF6 – A More Affordable Electric SUV

VF6 is a smaller, compact SUV made for more people. It is around 4.2 meters long. It will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra XUV400 in India.
VF6 also has a sporty coupe-style roof.
There are two versions:
- VF6 Plus: 201 bhp, 310 Nm
- VF6 Eco: 172 bhp, 250 Nm
Both versions have a 59.6 kWh battery. The range is 399 km for Eco and 381 km for Plus.
Same Interiors in VF6 and VF7 – Clean and High-Tech
Both cars have the same modern interior. Main features include:

- 12.6-inch touchscreen
- Panoramic sunroof
- Level 2 ADAS safety features
- No normal speed display – only HUD (Head-Up Display)
- All controls are on the touchscreen, so it looks very clean inside.
Launch Expected Around Festival Season
VinFast will launch both cars in India before the end of 2025. The VF7 may come in July or August, and the VF6 in September. The company will also start setting up dealerships soon.
Big Investment in India – More Models Coming
VinFast is investing about $2 billion (₹16,500 crore) in India. This money is not just for the factory but also for:
- Dealerships
- Future models
- Long-term plans in the Indian EV market
